McAfee vs. The VAR Guy: Game On
Before he became a pro blogger, The VAR Guy was an expert slacker — skipping college courses besides up his original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) and conquer Tetris. Oh, the memories. All of them came rushing back earlier today when McAfee challenged The VAR Guy to The Stack Challenge — a brand new game that gives top players (er, channel partners) some nifty rewards. Here’s the tale — and the overall score.
The Stack Challenge looks a whole lot just like the Tetris all of us grew up with, notes Channel Chief Gavin Struthers . So how did The VAR Guy score Let’s just say all those lost hours (on Atari 2600, IntelliVision, ColecoVision, Atari 800, NES, Sega Genesis, etc.) weren’t wasted time.
According to McAfee’s online system, a partner named “OlimpiAlex” has the high score of 1260. That’s all Surely you can’t be serious. (And don’t call me Shirley.)
Another movie reference from The VAR Guy Yes: Airplane. But that’s not important at the moment.
Who’s (Still) Got Game
Let’s hit anything button, hope Tetris makes a fair connection to our virtual NES, and spot The VAR Guy’s top score. Oh, there it’s: 1530. Nearly 300 points — or roughly 25 percent better — than the subsequent nearest McAfee channel partner. See the screen shot (right) to prove that top score from yours truly.
Of course, it really is all just fun and games. Or is it Big prizes are at stake for channel partners. And also you don’t need to beat The VAR Guy’s score because his tally occurred in “practice” mode. To get in at the action visit The Stack Challenge . Tell them The VAR Guy sent you.
